My name is Garrit Pruyt, and I currently serve as the Carson City District Attorney. I am running for Justice of the Peace to leverage my years of experience to help continue making Carson City a great place to live. The Justice Court is responsible for bail hearings, search warrants, protective orders, landlord-tenant disputes, and small claims actions. It is often the only court a member of our community will interact with, and it plays a critical role in public safety. As a judge, I will ensure that all court participants are treated with respect, that victims' rights are protected, and that the safety of our community is paramount.
